Enough with the drama. I'm gonna post more planes. Quiz question: what was the first airliner with a full length double deck? If you said A380 you're wrong. By nearly 60 years!
This French lady flew in 1949! The Breguet "Deux Ponts"
Deux Ponts means double deck. The French thought there would be a market for a 100 passenger medium range airplane. They weren't totally wrong, and this is the strange plane they designed.
To clarify, they weren't wrong, but technology progressed way faster than expected. The Caravelle I posted earlier made the Deux Ponts entirely obsolete, but it will forever live on as a quirky stepping stone. It even had an elevator!
